Mount Sinai hospital was founded in 1909 in St. Agathe des Monts.
Since then, Mount Sinai has become an intermediate care facility specializing in chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases such as emphysema, bronchitis, asthma and other respiratory illnesses. Mount Sinai subsequently moved to Montreal in 1990 to be closer to the population it served, with 107 beds, an out-patient department and a wide range of diagnostic and treatment services.
Mount Sinai has always been a pioneer in raising the standards of healthcare services. Today, the hospital is a state-of-the-art institution, specializing in Respiratory Care and Palliative Care. We are a McGill University affiliated hospital and are accredited by Accreditation Canada.
